Seems like Andy might have mentioned streetcar conductors while he was getting ready to deliver the baby in Quiet Sam, but I haven't double-checked this. Anyway Larry, the tracks you saw in Mayberry were more likely temporary tracks put in place for the camera dolly, which accidentally were left in place when they shot the scene from a different camera angle. As we know TAGS was always filmed with just a single camera, which had to be moved often during filming.
