Everyone mentions sliding across the front seat from the passengers side as
being unusual.
I agree it is unusual here in this neck of the woods even back in the 50's and
60's.
I keep thinking I hope when they slide across that seat that they are not
wearing
anything wool. Can you imagine the static electric shock if you had on any
wool, slid across
the bench seat then touched the metal car door. Those doors were real metal
back then too.
OMG, what a spark that would seem to create.
