Hello All
It warms my heart to see all the discussion on front seats and Frick and
Frack, especially the part on cousins.
Years ago and I guess we have kind of gotten away from it, close friends in
the south are considered family. There has always been the joke of kissin'
cousins, meaning not really cousins but very close. I have friends that my
family has been friends with since out grandparents. I see them when I am
in Knoxville, almost every day. When my parents passed, the oldest stay at
the grave site till the burial was complete. Since I am the only child, I
did the same for them, when the Dad passed. Now, my grandfather and their
Dad worked together even. We have been close like I said for years. In
researching the family tree, we found we had a connection. Their great
grandfather married in a second marriage, an aunt of mine. For years this
second marriage was the bane of their family, until, we realized our
connection. Are we really cousins? I am not sure, but there is a
connection. As for Barney and Andy, they didn't have to discuss this for
this to true either. It is possible, that Andy's mother was Barney's
mother's sister. It was never clear about Aunt Bee at times. For
instance, when the brother came to town that was a con man, she called him
her brother, but Andy never said that was his uncle and it would have had
to have been. Also, Uncle Ollie was Bee's Sister's husband. That had to
have been Andy's father's sister. I know it is confusing as all get out.
Perhaps we should turn this over to Ken for his poetry musin'.
