Here are the twenty-three that I came up with: Henry Wheeler Otis Campbell (as a prisoner) Malcolm Tucker Malcolm Merriweather Gomer Pyle Ernest T. Bass Uncle Ollie, Aunt Nora, Roger and Bruce Roger Hanover "Cousin" Gloria Jerry Miller Barney Fife (color episodes) Baby Evie Joy Goober Pyle Alice Harper Bradford Taylor Mr. Vasilievich, Mr. Ruskin, Mr. Clifford, and the two assistants for the summit At first, I was going to list Hubert St. John from "Aunt Bee and the Lecturer," season 8, but then I realized that he apparently stayed at the hotel. There were a couple others I considered before realizing they didn't qualify. George "Tex" Foley, the runaway kid, was going to stay, but he went home the same day. I thought about Jeff Pruitt, who stayed in town a couple of days to find a wife, but there's nothing to indicate he stayed with the Taylors. I can't come up with any more than twenty-three myself.
