I've been a member of this group for about 10 years and I don't know if these
facts were ever mentioned. I
do't think they are in any tags books either..
Remember when Barney tried to get Andy lined up with Lydia Crosswaithe and she
said she hated the guitar.

In real life she was an accomplished guitar player and even made some records
which are still available. Josie
Lloyd, who played the part was born in 1940 and would be 74 years old if she is
still living. that would have put her
in the mid-twenties on TAGS.
Andy told Peggy he had been to France. But he could not have been in the war.
If he and barney graduated high
school in 1945. He would have had to do six weeks basic training and another
eight weeks at M.O.S. school so he couldn't have made it to France before
August or September of 1945. The European war ended in May of 1945.
Barney said he was working in the Library at the Staten Island PX (Post
Exchange). He would have been stationed at Ft. Hamilton, near Brooklyn.

I saw Howard McNear (Floyd) in an "I Love Lucy" episode as Little Ricky's music
teacher and in an Alfred Hitchcock episode.
Ruta Lee who played a newspaper reporter and Movie actress Miss Mason on TAGS
was seen on a "Highway Patrol" episode as a hostage. In real life she was
successful in freeing her Grandmother from a concentration camp in Russia in
1966 and a an 18 year old cousin was freed from Russia in 1987. Ruta Lee will
be 78 years old May 20th....
The gal who played Flo, Goobers first love interest, was seen in a leather
jacket as a member of a motorcycle gang in Annette Funicello's Movie "Muscle
Beach party".

I love seeing Mayberrians in other shows and movies. It just proves how well
they selected the actors and actresses
for the show.
