We do see Dickie. When Opie recuses himself to his bedroom from the dinner
table (with chicken and biscuits) Andy comes up to ask why he returned from the
kitchen to find Opie's plate was clean. Opie said he brought his dinner to
Dickie. Andy walks over to the cage, peers down at Dickie and says (TV Land
cuts this line) "Dickie, you better not fly anytime soon, those biscuits can
lay heavy on your chest." And we hear Dickie chirp-chirp.
Now, I don't know if anyone will consider "skeets" as birds but they do fly.....
