I always laugh so hard whenever there is a scene or reference to Barney
going to the duck pond at night. It brings back some great memories.

When I was about 19 and in college the girl I was dating and I took a ride
way out in the country one night to visit the spot that was famous for
"parking" as we called it back in 1965.

When it came time to go home we discovered none of the lights would work on
the car. So we had to drive the twelve miles back to down in total
darkness with no lights.

It was one of the longest and most enjoyable rides I have ever had in my
life. Oh for those days of my youth. We would buy two dollar tires, used
batteries, so we often had to push the cars by hand to get them started. I
think most of my early cars must have been sold by Lesch and Company.
