We are in full swing here in Wisconsin for doing Mayberry Guru gigs. I will traveling to Minnesota to do two large parades later this summer. They both agreed to make a donation to my hometown library if I would come. We have been to 10 events already and have 50 more scheduled through October. No doubt about it, the love for Mayberry is very real and very alive here in the Midwest. So honored to be able to be a small part of it. Last Sunday in a float two units ahead of us an 8 year old boy fell off while throwing candy and he was run over by the rear wheels of the trailer. Parade was stopped for an hour while they airlifted him to a hospital and did the investigation. Luckily he was released from the hospital two days later and is expected to make a full recovery. I did a parade in its neighboring town today and they had announcements all the time about being careful with the candy throwing.
