I missed some posts June 3 - June 11 but did a little catchin' up and now I'm a caught up fan!! I attended my reunion of Veterans and Former Residents of Midway Island, where I served from July 19 1957-July 24, 1958. We all had a wonderful time and some wonderful Mayberry Moments. I carried a copy of an autographed photo of Howard Morris as Ernest T Bass with the note telling he had served on Midway in 1943. I know because he told me himself!! In the display room we had the National Guard watching our memorabilia for us, so when it was over I gave the photo to one of the men!! We were near Glasgow KY and the people were of Mayberry Class. All so nice, polite, treated us royally!! So nice, in fact, we voted to go back again next year!! Happy Mayberry Friendship to everyone!!
