Megalopolis Today I had the oportunity to use the word "megalopolis" in a sentance. I was responding to a friend's email and a WW II pilot. He grew up in New Jersey. I was telling him about how Staten Island was when my parents grew up there. They were also of his generation, but on the younger side of the WW II vets. I was able to use the word megalopolis. Just goes to show that a TAGS education is indeed worth every penny. "I bet those towns in NJ were nice country towns when you were a kid. My parents moved us up to the country for the better schools, and especially since they remember having a country atmosphere on Staten Island when they were kids. It was quickly becoming a megalopolis. My mother wanted us to have a country atmosphere and we did.
