Barney calls Thelma Lou "Thel" several times. As far as I remember, the rest of the time he called her Thelma Lou, or some form of endearment such as "Sweetie". At no time did Barney mention her last name.I was watching the episode "The Arrest of the Fun Girls" the other day, and I noticed that after Thelma Lou and Helen catch Andy and Barney with the Fun Girls in the courthouse, and they get ready to leave, Helen says "Come on Thelma". That is the only time I can ever remember during the whole show that anyone calls Thelma Lou "Thelma". Watching the scene, it seemed a little like Helen forgot, or stumbled over, her line and probably meant to say "Thelma Lou". Can anyone else remember anyone calling Thelma Lou just plain "Thelma"?
