OK, here is a list of the types of fish of fish mentioned in Mayberry so far. Note that I am not attempting to list every single mention of each type of fish, just the many different KINDS of fish. For example, trout and tuna are mentioned many times in several different episodes but I don't care to count every single mention (but if anybody else wants to — more power to ya).
PIKE and CARP, two ornery fish that Mayberryites wouldn't want to protect BASS that Andy tells the guys in Walnut Hills about (that wasn't in Mayberry, but the bass were) TROUT TUNA SALMON mentioned by Andy (not Goober) in Opie Finds a Baby GOLDFISH that Barney gets for Opie the Birdman SHARK that Arnold claims to almost caught one time CATFISH BARRACUDA that Andy was being played like, by Peggy, according to Floyd SARDINES, which are not a specific type of fish, but more like a way to prepare fish Unknown types of FISH mentioned many many times, including whatever kind was used in Charlene's fish muddle I'm thinking of three more, and there are probably more than that. One is a common game fish, one is a commonly sold in cans, and the third is neither.
