I think one of the reasons we all love TAGS so much is because it is decent
television. But of course in the 60's, every bit of television was decent.
Just turn on MeTV or Antenna TV and all of their shows are decent. So
very, very, much of what passes for television entertainment these days is
indecent. So when you finally find a good, decent, show, it makes you want
to throw open the front door and yell it to the world.Which brings me to the
reason for this post. Martha, more so than I, enjoys watching ABC, NBC,
FOX, and CBS. But it is getting so much harder to find something that you
can watch without cringing. This last season, the only two shows that I
could wholeheartedly recommend to my friends was "The Middle" and "Last Man
Standing". That is not counting news shows, documentaries, and the such.
In the last few days, TV Land has begun to broadcast a new version of "Candid
Camera" which is decent. My question for all of you, is there any sh
ow on broadcast channels like the two I mentioned which you would not be
afraid to let your 12 year old granddaughter watch? I am not talking about
reruns of "The Brady Bunch" or the like, but some new show that is decent moral
and uplifting? Martha and I would sure like to know. Orville Hendricks -
Mount Pilot Butter and Egg Man
