OK folks, here are some amazing animal facts that I found in my September issue of Learn a Month magazine.
The ant always falls over on its right side when intoxicated. (I think Otis always falls face down.) The average human eats 8 spiders in their lifetime at night. (I would love to see Gomer’s face on this one.) The average airspeed of the common housefly is 4 ½ mph. (You give them 3 ½ and the take 4 ½ every time.) Over 10,000 birds a year die from smashing into windows. (Most were thrown by Ernest T. Bass.) One quarter of the bones in your body are in your feet. (I think that is why they fall asleep.) Human teeth are almost as hard as rocks. (Please don’t tell Ernest T. Bass this little tidbit.) Giraffes are the only animals that are born with horns. (Now that proves they are selfish.) Bats always turn left when exiting a cave. (OK Barney, keep to your right.) A group of baboons is called a congress.
