I just got in my Mayberry RFD DVD set and I still find myself getting lost
back in Mayberry for the simpler times, like I do with TAGS. I look at it
in color and the effect is still chilling to take me back to that life.
Seeing the set, although I know it’s a stage setting reminds me of the week
I spent on vacation with Elisa (Bulbsnatcher) when we travelled through
Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Texas,
Oklahoma, and Arkansas before coming back to Tennessee. For the most part,
we drove the lesser travelled routes and stopped off in small towns and just
took in the sights. We saw more Mayberryish little towns and met more
Mayberry-friendly people during our week and it was just like it is on TAGS
and MRFD. The small town effect is all over the country.
As for the mini review on MRFD on DVD, I would say it’s well worth the price
and a welcome addition to any TAGS collection.
