Regarding the question as to what we do NOT miss from the "good ole days:"
I do not miss medical care and dentistry from the '40s and '50s. I don't remember the demonstration of dental care on TAGS, but I can assure you that my childhood dental drama and medical care with related procedures weren't nearly as easy and pleasant as those observed in Mayberry. I'm all for the sanitized and improved version of our idealized Mayberry. Hooray!
