In the show about the haunted house, either Opie or Arnold mentions the New
York Yankees.
The Mayberry baseball team that Goober coaches is nicknamed the Giants.
Which I always found a little odd because at that particular time the baseball
Giants were located in San Francisco. You would have thought they would have
used a nickname of a team from the East or Midwest like the Cardinals.
When Flip Conroy showed up in Mayberry, he claimed to have played for the New
York (Football) Giants.
I am sure there are several others that I have overlooked.
