I just watched an episode of Leave it to Beaver. Ward came home and presented June with a present of two quarts of pickles. June's reaction was, "How in the world will we ever eat two whole quarts of pickles." Apparently the good people of Mayfield did not enjoy pickles as much as the good people of Mayberry did. She can be thankful that Ward did not come home with 8 quarts of home make pickles.
