I had a strange dream last night. I was looking through the Sunday paper, and the TV Guide section had a photo on the cover of Andy, Don, Ronny, Jim Nabors and George Lindsey, and a headline about a new version of The Andy Griffith Show (in this dream all five actors were still living). So naturally I had to read the article, because I've never known the magazine section of the Sunday paper to lie.
Instead of an article, there were two pages of small ads, like the kind you find on high school football programs, placed by fans who were excited to hear about the new show. I looked through the ads, expecting to see the names of folks from our chapter, but none of the names were familiar. I found it extremely hard, if not impossible, to believe that a new version of TAGS had been created and not one member of our chapter had heard anything about it. Oh well, I guess it's better than a nutty nightmare about crashing my car through the the rail of Old Plank Bridge and drowning. It's too bad we don't have a psychiatrist in town, I bet I'd be a real study.
