It was almost Christmas and old Otis went up to the mountains to buy some moon from Rafe Halister. He wanted to merry up Christmas a bit. Rafe asked Otis how things were going. Otis said, “Not too good, I am thinking about divorcing the old lady.” “Divorcing the old lady?”asked Rafe, “Why do you want to do that?” Otis replied, “Aw, she hasn’t spoken to me in over two weeks.” Rafe said, “Well, I don’t think I would divorce her for that.” “Why not?” asked Otis. “Well,” said Rafe, “Those kind of wives are hard to find.”
