Martha and I have the Encore Western Channel on our cable subscription. It
is one of my favorite channels. The Encore Western Channel has begun
broadcasting "Death Valley Days", and I sure am happy about that, because it
was one of my favorite shows growing up. They are going through the 64-65
season right now with Ronald Reagan as host (another reason to love the show),
and I can only hope that at some future time they will see fit to broadcast the
older black and white shows.

Any Hoo, yesterday I was watching one of the shows, and guess who was on a
wagon train heading out across Arizona going to California? None other than
our own Helen Crump. This was right in the middle of the time she was on
TAGS. Now get this, she was married and about to have a baby. Wonder if
she ever told Andy about that? It sure was a good show.

On another topic, I forgot to list one other TAGS alumni that starred in a 60's
comedy show. There was a short lived comedy on CBS called "Please Don't Eat
The Daisies". The father on the show was former temporary Mayberry deputy
Bob Rogers. Kim Tyler who played Billy Gray in "One Punch Opie" played his
son in the show.
