I sat down last night and watched "Dolphin Tale 2" with my daughter. During
the course of the movie (which is a true story, by the way), a sea turtle
trapped in a fishing line is rescued. A girl at the marine animal rescue
center named the turtle Mavis. Another character questioned the choice of
name, and the girl said, "Mavis--like on 'The Andy Griffith Show.'" It's a
rather obscure reference, since Mavis Neff (the only Mavis I can think of)
appeared in just one episode, but I thought it was pretty cool that it was in
the movie! I always love to see references to TAGS in contemporary culture.
