My trained noticer eyes have just noticed two NEW sightings of Nice Dress Nellie on TAGS , the most frequently seen female extra on TAGS . 1. Nellie was seen eating dinner at the fancy French restaurant in Raleigh behind Andy in "Andy's Rich Girlfriend" (episode 67). When Andy claims he will let the snails go by, you can see Nellie chatting away in the background. 2. Nellie also was seen walking in the background in the Mayberry school in "Opie and Mike" episode 248. When Opie and Mike are talking at the drinking fountain in the school hallway you can see Nellie walking from left to right in the background behind Opie. She opens a door for a girl and then follows her through the door. Maybe Nellie worked at the Mayberry school!? I checked the list of Nellie sightings on the Mayberry Historical Society web site for her at http://www.mayberry.info/history/index.php?title=Nellie and didn't see either of these episodes listed. Maybe our own Allan "Floyd" Newsome will update the page with these two new sightings. It was BIG!
