I did not see where they would be showing uncut episodes, but are going to save
some time with the credits in between the shows, so keep a good thought it is
enough
Wow, this is big! They've been doing that for several years now with "I
Love Lucy". If they follow the same pattern they use with it the
"Christmas Story" will be complete, and the "Pickle Story" will be
slightly edited.
Since the later seasons of TAGS were filmed in color they have a palette
of colors to work with and know what to do with things, so it will be
interesting to see how these turn out. I'd think they might be better
than the "Lucy" episodes, but those have gotten rather good in quality
with more modern technology.
Per the CBS release this year the Christmas "Lucy" episode will be shown
completely in color too versus having the flashbacks in B&W. For
reference, here is a list of the Lucy "color" episodes:
Lucy Goes to Scotland- released on the "Complete Series" collection
Lucy's Italian Movie- initially released by Time Life, broadcast with
the Christmas episode in 2013
Job Switching- broadcast Christmas 2014
LA at Last- "Superstar Special", broadcast May 17
Lucy Meets Superman- "Superstar Special", broadcast May 17
All of those except for LA at Last & the Superman episode have been
released on various DVDs as well. It is interesting to compare the
original 1990's Colorized Christmas episode to the current version. It
is like night and day.
