I am reading a mystery, "Town in a Sweet Pickle". Someone is going around the small town of Cape Willington, Maine leaving jars of pickles. The only problem; the pickles are poisoned.
This got me to thinking about our wonderful "Pickle Story" episode. Wasn't Barney taking an awful chance when he distributed those kerosene cucumbers to all those strangers passing through Mayberry? Just what if some of those poor unsuspecting folks actually ate the pickles and got sick? Or even worse, they died? Barney would have found himself in a real pickle. This all proves just one thing. If you want a really good pickle you have to go to Festival Foods in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
