>>>One more thing, with this being the Christmas season and all, the movie >>>"Christmas In Connecticut" turns up on TV almost every day. In the dance >>>hall sequence, I agree that Mr. Schwump is sitting there on the bench >>>looking things over, but I have another question. Do you think that is >>>his natural hair on his head? What with the magic of modern TV, with >>>pause, slo-mo, and freeze frame, I looked at it quite a bit, and I have come >>>to the conclusion that I honestly believe it was his natural hair. After >>>all this was in 1940, 20 years before TAGS. What do you think, real or >>>store bought?<<<
Well, that scene he's in in "CIC" is so fleeting that even freezing the frame makes it difficult to see details. I just watched "CIC" the other night and made sure I looked for Mr. Schwamp, as I always do. That may be his real hair--not sure that I can say--but a guy can lose his hair and get a receding hairline in twenty years time. His hair in TAGS surely can't be real. It looks so much like a bad toupee, and most everyone is in agreement on that. So maybe he had a full head of hair in 1940 but lost it somewhere in between and just wanted to keep up appearances in his older years.
