As far as prices go from back in the 60's, a good rule of thumb is that today things are generally ten times more expensive than during TAGS time. For instance, in the 60's a bottle of soda pop was a dime and now a days it is about a dollar. In the 60's a hamburger was a quarter and now a days it is around $2.50. In the 60's a decent wage would have been $1.25 an hour whereas today $12.50 an hour is a decent wage. Goober sold gasoline for 30 cents a gallon, and up until very recently gasoline was around $3.00 a gallon. Automobiles were about $2500.00 in the 60's and $25K today. So on and so on. But the one area where the analogy falls through is in electronics. The price of televisions, radios, stereos, etc has actually gotten cheaper. So to make a long story short (don't nobody say it is too late now), Aunt Bea's $80 would be like a restaurant making $800.00 now a days.

Does anyone have any idea what that would be like in today's dollars?
