This Wednesday I will be traveling to Wausau, Wisconsin, where I will be
the closing keynote speaker at a medical conference. The other keynote
speakers are all speaking on rather serious medical issues, so they wanted
to close the conference with a lighter presentation. Unbeknownst tyo them
I will also be discussing key medical issues. Such as the dispensation of
medications at the Walker Pharmacy when poor Emma could not get her miracle
pills without a prescription. I will be talking about the challenge of
getting the mountain people to accept modern medical treatments such as
inarculations for tetanus. I will also be addressing some medical miracle
cures such as Colonel Harvey's Indian Elixir as a way to treat people who
are no longer Spring Chickens. I also will be touching on the importance
of HIPPA privacy rules using the example of how when Barney's injured
finger information became public it didn't take long before the town had
him dead. So I hope they are not disappointed with the final presentation
talking about medical issues. Of course I will include my usual important
information about the wonderful world of Mayberry and the Mayberry Guru.
