Some of you may remember good old Ferdie, who was Clara Edward's accordion playing nephew who helped Aunt Bee and Clara audition with Keevey Hazleton. Well, Ferdie was from Eau Claire, Wisconsin. When I did my presentation today at an assisted living home I shared the story about Ferdie, who was really Joel Redlund. Joel was from Eau Claire too. When I showed the picture of Ferdie this lady started to laugh as she never realized her high school classmate had once been on TAGS. She said that at the last high school reunion here in Eau Claire Ferdie gave her a kiss. Turns out she also went to school here in Eau Claire with Patti Regan who appeared in two episodes of TAGS and one episode of Mayberry RFD.
