I was reading Dan Goodwin's recent post, where he spoke of Will Wright, (Ben Weaver), and that reminded me of an episode of Ozzie and Harriet back, filmed back in 1960. Will Wright was often cast as a grumpy and miserly curmudgeon, as he was in TAGS. In the Ozzie and Harriet episode, titled A Piano For The Fraternity, he played a role completely opposite of his normal characters. David and Ricky's fraternity wanted to buy a piano for use at various functions and Mr. Stewart (Ben Weaver) and his wife had a piano advertised for sale for $40.00. The boys, along with some of their fraternity brothers, went to look at the piano. However, they could only come up with $25.00. In the end, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart would up giving them the piano. The Stewarts then attended the fraternity holiday party and Mr. Stewart even made his favorite punch for the party and he and Ozzie struck up a friendship. It was nice to see Will Wright in such a warm and different role.
