Andy Clyde (Frank Meyers) was 75 when he died, appearing at age 69 in Mayberry Goes Bankrupt. Our ancesters lived a rough life, no air conditioning and with no sunscreen. Which leads one to ask, were there any homes or businesses in Mayberry with air conditioning? None in the church. Floyd's certainly didn't have any or he wouldn't have spent so much time on the bench outside fanning himself and wondering what causes that......Another head scratcher is no one had no screens on their windows but they did have screen doors. So ask yourself, with no AC, would you leave a window open with no screen? Maybe only in Hollywood, I mean Mayberry.
