I just have to comment on the posting about Gomer and Sgt Carter. Back
in the early 70s before my beloved went to Nam, he had to go thru
survival school. Due to him being a country boy with lots of skills, his
group also gained weight while all the other teams lost. They even ate
rattlesnake roasted on an open fire that he caught in a tree at night! I
had forgotten about that till just now reading the Digest.
