We had a great time in a neighboring city's Nabor Days Parade on Sunday. We won first place in the comedy category. Tonight we are heading to the town where I taught for 30 years as they invited me to be a part of their National Night Out event at their city park. Should be fun. We have 20 events scheduled for August. We will take a three day rest next week as I am taking the squad car in for some mechanical work. Like me, that car isn't any spring chicken. I am thinking about adding a bottle of Colonel Harvey's Indian Elixir to the gas tank and see what that does. I best be careful though, as my wife drives it in the parades and I wouldn't want it to get away from her.
