One of the great things about doing so many summer events is that I meet
some really interesting people. On Saturday we were doing a car show at
Eau Claire's Summerfest Celebration. A family who was here from China took
an interest in the squad car. The older folks could not speak any English
so their daughter translated everything for them. They spent a long time
with me and I explained everything about Mayberry. The younger gal was a
writer so she was very interested in what Mayberry was all about. I gave
her one of my cards so she could check out my websites and learn more. She
said she was going to order my book from Amazon so she could learn more.
They took a lot of pictures and were just delightful.

Sunday we were at another car show that had over 700 classic cars. The
very same thing happened again only this time the family was from South
Africa. They had never heard of TAGS so of course I had to explain it and
give them my card. They wanted me to handcuff their young daughter so she
could take that back to South Africa and tell her friends all about it.
They too took a lot of pictures and were texting them back to their friends
in Johannesburg. I was able to share with them that in my senior year of
high school our foreign exchange student was from Johannesburg. That was
in 1964.
