I just finished reading the book Andy & Don, which was published in 2015. I think that the highlight of the book was what a caring and sincere friendship that Andy Griffith and Don Knots shared. It was the kind of relationship that I think everyone would like to share with a special friend at least once in their life. It does cast Andy Griffith in a little different light than most TAGS fans are accustomed to and it shows an intensity, a drive for perfection, and a personality, which at times, in real life, was far different that we saw in Andy Taylor. On the other side of the coin, Don Knotts, in real life, seemed to come across very much like the Barney Fife that we all came to love over the years. I think that any TAGS fan who hasn't read it would find it a great read.
