I was attending a local college Homecoming parade yesterday when I had a perfect opportunity to infuse a quote from Barney. The Homecoming parade was very well attended and traffic (pedestrian and vehicular) was quite heavy afterwards. Many of the pedestrians were standing in the street after the parade, so the vehicle traffic could not proceed. I told a person working on the security staff that we just need to tell the people what Barney Fife would tell them..."Okay everybody! Cease and disperse!" We both had a good laugh afterwards.
