A very sad goodbye to Bernard Fox, who has died at age 89, leaving Mayberry on his bicycle for a final journey.
A familiar face to TAGS fans as 'Malcolm Merriweather' in three episodes, "Andy's English Valet," "The Return of Malcolm Merriweather" and "Malcolm at the Crossroads." TV viewers also know Bernard as 'Dr. Bombay' on BEWITCHED, 'Col. Crittendon' on HOGAN'S HEROES, and many more roles on shows like THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW, COLUMBO and THE DANNY THOMAS SHOW. Before he retired, Bernard had featured roles in the motion pictures TITANIC (1997) and THE MUMMY (1999). A very nice guy and I enjoyed the times I had the opportunity to meet and talk with him.
