Today I watched an episode from Season 5, Barney Runs for Sheriff. In that episode Andy is contemplating taking an executive job offer from his friend Ed Crumbpacker. I find it very odd that Andy does not file a petition to run for Sheriff before he is offered the executive job from his friend. It seems that Andy was "putting the cart before the horse". Andy could have easily withdrawn his petition, if he was indeed offered the executive job. For Andy to assume he had the job and not to complete a petition for Sheriff was really strange considering Andy is normally very analytical when it comes to decision making.
