> As we all know WW II ended in 1945. So the timeframe f the show could not > have bee in the 1930s
> as some have mentioned. Since I'm the one who first mentioned in previous discussions that Andy Griffith has said "...the '30s", I thought it only proper that I respond. I didn't search for the Today show interview but if someone else wants to....... This is taken from the TAGS Wikipedia page, end of first paragraph. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Andy_Griffith_Show [ Griffith said that despite a contemporary setting, the show evoked nostalgia, stating in a Today Show interview: "Well, though we never said it, and though it was shot in the 1960's, it had a feeling of the 1930's. It was, when we were doing it, of a time gone by." ] So he never said "represented the 30s or the 60s". That makes it clear as mud.....LOL I guess the guessing can continue now. Harriet, the chicken thief, hiding out in Kelsey's Woods, USA ....Johnny Paul Jason says chewing tar is good for the teeth......That's an old wives tale....Johnny Paul ain't married..... _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list [email protected] http://www.wbmutbb.com/
