<<Strange but the beginning of The Lone Ranger is the lead-in music, later
we hear the regular Gunsmoke <<theme. Can anyone shed light on why they
lead in with The Lone Ranger?

About The Lone Ranger music as the intro to the Gunsmoke episode, the way I
took it, that song was used as the intro to the Old Time Radio Westerns
intro, and not intended as the intro for Gunsmoke, because the announcer
welcomed us to the web site, and then introduced the Gunsmoke episode.
