My wife and I attended a funeral at our former church. As soon as the funeral director saw me she had to come up to me and tell me about her new grandson. The parents are such TAGS fans that they named their little boy after one of the Mayberry good citizens. Yep, they named him Asa. Bet you didn't see that one coming; She said they just loved Asa when he was the bank guard and the night watchman so they had to name their son after him. I told her I thought Otis would be a better choice as the little guy probably has a hard time walking without falling down.
We did our 68th event yesterday and we have three this weekend. Rather than slowing down, our schedule is getting busier. Luckily we have had a nice cool summer thus far so the parades and car shows have been great. I did my presentation at a senior citizen luncheon on Tuesday and when I finished quite a few of the seniors were wiping their eyes. They thanked me so much for bringing back so many memories for them.
