I watch TAGS because it's funny, heartwarming, and takes me back to a simpler time. In these over-sensitive and politically correct days, I find it refreshing that gun safety was not an issue on the show. Nor was Opie running around town unsupervised a big deal. Or, Leon for that matter. Seatbelts? Nope. Helmets? Nope. Or, how about Otis with his drinking? I like it the show as is and would never try to "over-expect".
