Subject: interesting tidbit Someone may have already noticed this, but just in case......while watching "The Banjo Playing Deputy" last night on MeTV, Andy assigned Jerry to school-crossing duties and told him to go to the corner of Rockwood and Haymore to cross the kids. For the heck of it, I went to Google maps to see if those were actual streets in Mount Airy. Turns out not only is that an actual intersection, but it's the closest intersection to the Andy Griffith House. So, who knows - maybe that's the intersection young Andy Griffith actually crossed every day going to school, and he made sure it got into the script.
