Well folks, our summer events are still going strong with four this
weekend. We were invited to be a part of the entertainment at the annual
Warrens Wisconsin Cranberry Festival. It is the largest Cranberry Festival
in the world and draws 100,000+ attendees. We spent 8 hours there today in
90+ degree weather strolling through the area engaging with folks and
issuing citations. They also gave our squad car a place of honor, so
naturally a goodly amount of time was spent talking to visitors about the
car and many many photo shoots. We had a great time despite the heat.
Warrens is about 80 miles from here and is a very small village of 350
people. We came home as we have a car show Saturday morning here in Eau
Claire as well as the International Fall Festival Parade. So we will be
doing those two events and then Sunday we will head back to the Cranberry
Festival to be in their very big CranFest Parade. We have another four
events scheduled next week and that will put us over 90 events since May
1. A few more in October are scheduled and then we will be putting the
squad car away in storage. But I am already getting requests for new
parades for the summer of 2018. I am just hoping that I can continue to
participate in them all as I enjoy it so much. However, at age 71, the
reality is setting in that sooner or later I am going to have to cut back.
But let's all home it is later rather than sooner. I do have some more
presentations scheduled as I do those throughout the entire year.
