I remember seeing Jim Nabors in concert at the Drury Lane Theater in Evergreen
Park, Illinois. The theater is no longer there but the memories will never go
away. He was the friendliest celebrity I have ever met. His voice filled the
room and he would go into the audience and shake hands with the attendees of
the concert during the show. After his performance was over he invited
everyone to meet in his dressing room for a bit of a good down home chin wag.
He will be greatly missed.
