During this Advent season our pastors at our church have been talking a lot about John the Baptist, this strange man who lived all by himself alone in the wilderness and he ate strange foods. Doesn't that sound a wee bit like one of our Mayberry folk? I wonder if when he met his crowds, he would say, "It's me, it's me, it's John the B.",
