I was watching an episode of "Gomer Pyle, USMC" a couple nights ago entitled "Marry Me, Marry Me", where a woman tried to trick Gomer into marrying her, hoping for a settlement if he didn't.. Her "brother" was actually her husband. The similarity to "Barney on the Rebound", which aired 5 years earlier, was striking - a young woman tried to trick Barney into marrying her, and her "father" was really her husband. Even though the writers were completely different, it's clear that they really liked the original TAGS storyline,
