I seem to remember an episode of The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis in which Doris Parker portrayed the mother of spoiled rich kid Chatsworth Osborne Jr. and spoke the line: "I don't own a television machine" in a haughty, aristocratic manner. A few years later that line got repeated on the episode "I'm No Henry Walden" of the Dick Van Dyke show- with Doris Parker playing a society matron party hostess- I thought that was a clever in-joke - does anyone remember this?
