When reading the WBMUTBB Digest, I always enjoy learning about differences in food, language, customs, etc. between the region where I was born and raised (and still live) - the Great Lakes area of the Northeast - and other parts of our country.
I've noticed that during the first season or two of TAGS, Andy sometimes says something like: "Well, I been studyin' on that, Barn", etc. It seems that "studying" is used as a substitute for "thinking about". Is this right? Is that a Southern U.S. phrase? Is it still used, or an old term that's not used much? Or is it something that Andy or the writers came up with? Just curious.
