Thanks for the update, Ben. Back in the day when I worked in the DC area (I was a "college kid") the police would hang out in club/bar area of Georgetown and just hand jaywalking tickets out like candy. Plenty of students/tourists who were gassed on "mulberry squeezins" did not pay attention to the pedestrian signal. Jaywalking is rampant!
